LYB PLAYER SAFETY AND THE APPLICATION OF THE RULES
Player safety is very important to our league, and one component of our safety rules is the pitch counts. All coaches in our competitive divisions are given a complete set of the league rules along with pitch counts and rest periods. At the end of each game a coach will sign a game card and acknowledge the final score and the total pitches pitched by each pitcher. Based on the pitch counts the pitchers Must have a mandatory rest period before they can pitch again. If a team is found to violate this safety rule, through the signed score cards, that team will forfeit the game the violation takes place in.
This rule is in place for player safety and its up to each coach to know and to follow the rules.
